The film starring Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol despite opening to a good occupancy did not perform extraordinarily well. Since its competitor is last week’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, the expectation from the film is modest!
Hopes were quite high on Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, however, with not-so-good reviews from the critics and a mixed word of mouth publicity, this Deol comic caper couldn’t make much money at the Domestic Box Office. In fact, the Friday collections of YPD 2 is more or less similar to what YJHD collected on 2nd Friday.
As per early estimates, the movie collected 7.10 Crores approx on Day 1, which is less than what its prequel had collected in 2011 on Day 1 (7.75 Crores). Nevertheless, the film still has chances to pick up in the weekends.
