Shah Rukh Khan’s last Diwali release was the magnum opus Ra.One. The movie had opened to a 18 crore box office, which was considered pretty good  for a festival day release. Come Day 2 and Ra.One made 25 crores which held the highest single day box office collection record for quite some time. Then came Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger which made 32 crores on it opening day at the Indian Box Office clearly shattering Ra.One’s record.

The interesting thing fact is, last Diwali Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One had no big competition to face. However, this year Ajay Devgan’s Son Of Sardaar is prepared to offer some steady resistance to Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Son of Sardaar has also generated quite a hype and has been fighting with Jab Tak Hain Jaan on release dates, promotions and screen space.

Getting a Opening day or any other record might not be too easy for Shah Rukh Khan this Diwali as it has to face Son of Sardar in the long weekend. The number of days Jab Tak Hai Jaan takes to reach the 100 crore mark may be faster than Son of Sardar but what has to be seen is whether it reaches there faster than the top 5 100 Crore Club members:
