Seeing his past Eid outings he not only pleases his fan base but also his producers and distributors with massive box office collections. Bhai’s masala entertainers are one of the key highlights of Eid and it has become customary for families to plan their celebrations including the movie in their schedules.
Salman Khan’s relationship with Eid rose to prominence from September 2009 with his film Wanted. The film helped Salman comeback as his past few outings pre-Wanted were duds at the box office. Wanted directed by Prabhu Deva is a official remake of Telugu film Pokiri. The film was successful in winning the hearts of his fans and went on to garner 60 crores which is good considering it was 2009.
Soon after that Salman Khan came back in the role of Super-Cop Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg. The Abhinav Kahyap directed entertainer captivated the audience with Salman’s hilarious one-liners and easy-to-do dance steps. The film went on to collect 138.88 crores.

After this Salman Khan was unbeatable at the box office with Ek Tha Tiger which collected a big 198.00 crores breaking all previous records of his films. Further in 2014 saw his equation with Jacqueline Fernandez in Kick and collected a huge 233.00 crores. Records were just a joke after this when 2015’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan collected a whopping 320.34 crores and audiences got to see Salman’s softer side in the film. The very next year we got to see Salman playing a pehlwan in Sultan which collected a total of 300.45 crores.
Race 3 is set to release June 15 and is predicted to score a colossal amount at the box office collections. Although Salman Khan’s last Eid outing with Tubelight did not perform as expected and collected a mere 121.25 compared to his earlier Eid releases.
