The Lunchbox ,though a film of an extremely elitist flavor, is indeed going down well with the intelligentsia. Taut and wonderful in its premise, the film is a delightful love story of companionship between two strangers who bond in the most unlikely ways. The film on its 2nd Friday made 1.10 crores and hence elevating its income to 12.10 crores at the domestic box office.
With Irrfan Khan’s performance leaving a mesmerizing impact, the film is both heart warming and tender in its manner! It gives a kind sweet rush and the impact of the film lingers on. In the multiplexes, the film is holding strong and might even swell over the weekend, but the film’s scope will begin withering away by with the conclusion of its second week! It is quite a surprise that the film did marginally better business at the box office as compared to Grand Masti whose collections managed to be only a little over 1 crore.
