Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur’s The Family Star has pretty much sealed its fate during the opening weekend. The film, after a slow start, failed to take off on the following days. As a result, the total collection that has been accumulated so far is ordinary, and from today onwards, it’s game over for the film. Keep reading to know how much the film has earned at the box office!

Directed by Parasuram, the film was released on 5th April, and it opened to mostly mixed reviews from critics. Also, the audience’s reaction is not in favor. As a result, all the chances of this Vijay Deverakonda starrer of scoring a healthy sum initially were cut off. Currently, it’s standing with a total of much below 15 crores at the end of the opening weekend.

On the opening day, The Family Star did a business of just 5.75 crores. On Saturday, a steady trend was needed, but instead, the collection dropped to 4 crores. On Sunday, it dropped further, and just 3.20 crores came in. So, the opening weekend for the film has ended at a dismal total of 12.95 crores.

Today, The Family Star is expected to show a more brutal drop and the collection might go below 2 crores today. The opening week is heading towards the total of 20 crores, which is really poor.

Meanwhile, producer Dil Raju has reportedly expressed his disappointment with Parasuram’s direction. Raju, who also distributed the film, reportedly dialed Parasuram and expressed his dissatisfaction about the overall content.

As per Deccan Chronicle, a source said, “Dil Raju has suggested some corrections to help the film to be a better watch but Parasuram stuck to his guns and went with his own screenplay which failed to impress the audience.”
