The widest Hollywood release in India, The Amazing Spiderman 2 crossed the 50 crore mark by the completion of its second week run at the India Box Office. The film now stands with a total of 50.5 crores nett at the box office.
A superhero drama, The Amazing Spiderman 2 experienced a drop since last week. The film was expected to make much more business than has currently done, but the flick could not put up an excellent performance in India as it was hampered by the ongoing IPL.

Although this superhero flick kept a steady performance in the second week mainly because the last week’s releases did not fare well. Also the film being a favorite with the kids received good responses since vacations are in the loop.

Interestingly, the second installment of The Amazing Spiderman franchise has now crossed the collections of its prequel which had made a lifetime business of 48.5 crores at the India box office. The lifetime business is expected be around 53 crores for this film.
The film’s collections are now similar to last year’s superhero film Iron Man 3 which also made a business of 50 crores.
