Join UsBollywood has been thriving abundantly and relentlessly this year. Reaching newer heights at the box office in 2013, films have put up an unsurpassable show of sorts at the box office. Creating newer records, smashing older ones, Koimoi takes the cue and compiles for you the first 10 days collections of the highest grossing films in Bollywood.
The table comprises of the leading films namely – Chennai Express, Krrish 3, 3 Idiots, Ek Tha Tiger and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Three of the afore mentioned films have also gone ahead and created a newer club at the box office called the 200 crore club. Currently with three members – 3 Idiots (which was the first 200 crore entrant), Chennai Express and Krrish 3 (Fastest 200 crore entrant), the films made exemplary business at the box office.
Amongst the other Ek Tha Tiger made in to the 100 crore club in 6 days flat. Though Ranbir Kapoor’s YJHD couldn’t surpass the record, the most commendable thing about the film’s box office performance was it fared that well despite not being a holiday release or targeting any festive occasion.
Looking at the 10 days total of films, so far Krrish 3 is leading with 206.25 crores at the end of 10 days. Chennai Express follows with 181.60 crores. Salman’s Ek Tha Tiger follows the list with supreme 156.25 crores. Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani is next on the list with 136.36 crores and finally 3 Idiots ends with 113.05 crores. To note, that though 3 Idiots did not see a remarkable moolah at the box office initially, the film on the basis of good content ran for several weeks at the box office earning consistently.
