Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor‘s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya opened at 7.02 crore on day 1 at the box office and has taken a huge jump on day 2 by collecting almost 10.50 crore. The film has entered the list of top openers of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. In fact, it has also entered the list of top 10 Valentine’s openers.
Interestingly, the film has collected in the same range as Kriti Sanon’s day 1 at the box office. Kriti made her box office debut with Heropanti opposite Tiger Shroff. The film opened at 6.5 crore at the box office.

Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon turned stars overnight with the film, and Kriti Sanon’s debut brought her a barrage of projects with superstars like Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. In fact, she had to make some hard choices by picking one of them. At a time, she was offered Dilwale, and Singh Is Bliing, and she dropped the latter.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has opened to only 8% higher figures than Kriti Sanon’s day 1 at the box office. While Heropanti collected 6.50 crore on day 1, Kriti’s robot romance with Shahid Kapoor collected 7.02 crore on day 1. It was not a very impressive growth when compared to a film that was released in 2014.
Heropanti collected 55 crore in its lifetime at the box office. This was 8.4 times the opening day of the film. Helmed by Sabbir Khan, the film was a hit at the box office. So, Kriti Sanon’s first hit was indeed her debut film at the box office.

To match Heropanti’s success, TBMAUJ needs to collect at least 8.4 times than its opening day, which is almost 59 crore at the box office. This number currently does not seem like a hard figure to achieve, considering there are no big releases in the upcoming week.
