Keep reading to know more!

Directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the film was released on 9th February. In the pre-release phase, no one was really expecting anything from this romantic comedy. Yes, a couple of songs garnered popularity, but the trailer, which is the most important promotional material, received a very average response.

In reality, on the opening day itself, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya opened much better, and it struck the right chord with its targeted young audience. As a result, the film got momentum even during weekdays and enjoyed the benefit of Valentine’s season. Even some exciting ticket offers gave some sort of push. Thanks to all these different factors, the rom-com managed to attain a total of 87 crores at the Indian box office (as per the last update).

With 87 crores, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has made a special place in the list of the top 5 highest-grossing Bollywood rom-coms in the post-pandemic era. This Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer is holding the 4th spot in the list, standing above Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani’s Jugjugg Jeeyo (85.25 crores).

Take a look at the top 5 highest-grossing Bollywood rom-coms in the post-COVID era:

  • Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani – 153.30 crores
  • Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar – 146 crores
  • Zara Hatke Zara Bachke – 88 crores
  • Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya – 87 crores
  • Jugjugg Jeeyo – 85.25 crores

Meanwhile, for those who aren’t aware, this Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer was the first successful Bollywood film in 2024. Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter was expected to give a blockbuster start to 2024, but that didn’t happen as the film failed to bring in desirable numbers at the Indian box office.

Reportedly, the film carries a budget of 70 crores. So, against the cost, it has made an ROI (return on investment) of 17 crores, which equals 24.28% returns.
