Last week’s releases Te3n and Do Lafzon Ki Kahani have flopped at the Box Office. None of the two films could take an opening and though Te3n did improve over the weekend, there was subsequent fall on weekdays which meant that overall collections came crashing down. The film brought in 16.3 crore* over the week and this was actually the bare minimum expected in the weekend itself. The reviews for the film were anyways mixed and with word of mouth not really going in the favor of this Ribhu Dasgupta film, there was no respite for it after all.

Such low have been the collections of the film that the film would do even lesser than Amitabh Bachchan’s last major flop Shamitabh [22.45 crore]. Though it would be greater than Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s solo starrer Manjhi – The Mountain Man [12.26 crore], a relatively low budget film, Te3n will eventually collect just as much as Eklavya – The Royal Guard (incidentally starring both Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan) which had accumulated 19 crore in its final run and that too way back in 2007. If one adjusts for inflation, Te3n would incidentally be the lowest grosser ever of Vidya Balan.

That said, one looks forward to Big B’s Pink now, and then of course Sarkaar 3 which is slated to arrive in 2017.

Do Lafzon Ki Kahani brought in just 5.5 crore* in its first week. Directed by Deepak Tijori, the film just didn’t have anything going for it and has scored as much as what Randeep Hooda’s Main Aur Charles [5 crore] did in its first week. There are hardly any shows for the film in its second week and has disappeared from theaters.

* Final numbers awaited
