The period drama is making numbers almost similar to Saif Ali Khan’s Jawaani Jaaneman, which is in its opening week. On the global front, the film has surpassed Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike.
At the end of 26 days theatrical run, Tanhaji has accumulated a total of 301.80 crores gross (255.77 crores nett) in India and 35 crores gross in overseas, as per the last update. The overall worldwide collection stands at 336.80 crores. In Koimoi Bollywood’s Top Worldwide Earners (200 crore and above), the film has surpassed the collections of Uri: The Surgical Strike (335.99 crores).

Directed by Om Raut, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior chronicles the heroic story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s subedaar Tanaji Malusare who sacrificed his life fighting valiantly against Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s army to save the Sinhagad fort.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan is over the moon with an unprecedented success of the period drama. He even said that the role will go down as one of his best ever.
