As expected, Super 30 jumped huge on Saturday. After bringing in 11.83 crores on Friday, the film gained momentum to collect 18.19 crores on Saturday. This is very good trending so far and ideally a similar jump on Sunday would set the film for a very good score over the weekend. That said, it would be a little too much to ask from the Vikas Bahl directed film though one thing is sure that numbers would see a definitely rise.
So far, the Sajid Nadiadwala production has collected 30.02 crores in two days and the weekend numbers are expected to be in the vicinity of over 50 crores by the time weekdays kick-start. It also has to be noted that the film would benefit from the fact that India has not reached the finals of the World Cup. Had that been the case, Sunday collections would have been hit very hard. However for now the stage is wide open for the film to go ahead and perform.
Back in 2017 when Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil had released, its first three days numbers were 38.87 crores. That was also accounting for the big holiday of Republic Day, though fact also needs to be stated that there was massive competition from Raees. In case of Super 30, there is some bit of competition coming in from the likes of Kabir Singh, Spider-Man: Far From Home and to some extent even Article 15. Still, the Hrithik Roshan starrer is the first choice of the audiences and if the momentum continues well then it could well emerge as a very good grosser.
