Super 30 Box Office Day 10: Does Very Well In The 2nd Weekend, Enters 100 Crore Club

Super 30 has entered the 100 Crore Club in just 10 days. The film grew huge in the second weekend as collections kept pouring in. There was further jump evidenced on Sunday with 11.68 crores gathered at the Box Office. This is superb, considering the fact that The Lion King is doing quite well too.

The film currently stands at 100.58 crores which is truly superb. With this, Super 30 is now the eighth Bollywood film in 2019 to score a century after Kabir Singh, Uri – The Surgical Strike, Bharat, Kesari, Total Dhamaal, Gully Boy and De De Pyaar De. There were a couple of other Hindi films that made it to the 90s (Luka Chuppi, Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi) but unfortunately fell short of the 100 crores mark. However, there was no such trouble for Super 30 which has found a set audience for itself.

Super 30 yet again (re)establishes the star status of Hrithik Roshan and how he can find footfalls even for a niche film and that too in a non-glam avtar. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala too backed the film to the fullest and didn’t put any stops in ensuring that there was good promotion, marketing and release for this unusual subject. Their next set of films are far more commercial War and Chhichhore respectively and all eyes are on the kind of entertainment that these have to offer.
