Student of the Year (SOTY) had a really great opening day collection of about 9.25 Crores and managed to keep that pace even on its Day 2. The movie made about 10 Crores as per early estimates on its Day 2 at the domestic box office. SOTY now stands at a domestic box office total of 19.25 Crores.
For a movie with all newbies Student of the Year has had a fabulous start. The movie is doing pretty well in multiplexes and metros across the county despite the Navratri festivities in full flow at this time of the year.
It seems the target group of the movie is loving it and a 1st weekend collection of 30-32 Crores is very much a possibility. Now whether this success is based on the heavy promotional activity or content we leave upon you to decide.
