Stree had a phenomenal second week as more than 35 crore came in. The film was very steady right through the weekdays and then saw further jump on Tuesday due to Ganesh Chaturthi holiday in many parts of the country. It has already collected 95.50 crore* now and that’s an unbelievable number for a film which came with a budget of mere 20 crore.
Though there are several new releases this week, the one that would bring in maximum collections is Manmarziyaan. However, Stree is set to be a definite second choice since it is an established film and word of mouth is continuing to grow well even till date. The film is now set to enter the 100 Crore Club tomorrow and that would be amazing for director Amar Kaushik who has just taken his first step as a director in the industry.
In fact it would be keenly observed how the collections would be on Saturday and especially Sunday, since further jump here could take this Dinesh Vijan, Raj and DK film to an altogether different level.
