Ram Madhvani’s biographical thriller Neerja featuring Sonam Kapoor in the titular role has become one of the most profitable films of 2016. Created on the budget of 21 crores, the film has made the business of 75.61 crores.

With this collections, Neerja has made the profit of 54.61 crores which is 260% at the box office.

Neerja won the hearts of audiences with its focused story and it is clearly evident in its box office collections.

Neerja also features Shabana Azmi, Shekhar Ravjiani and Yogendra Tiku in supporting roles. The film is based on a true story of Neerja Bhanot.
