The film has garnered quite a positive buzz and the recall value of “Shubh Mangal..” franchise seems to be going in favour as well. However, the advance booking of the film hasn’t started on an impressive note as far as the initial trend is concerned.
The light heart film which talks about homos*xuality seems to be finding it tough because of the competition from another major release Bhoot: The Haunted Ship.

Mumbai & Delhi
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is yet to see any major turnover in the advance booking here. Both big cities are still cold as there’s hardly any show going filling fast.
The booking is expected to get fast by tomorrow.
Bengaluru
Bengaluru is decent with 10% approx shows filling fast already. The film is expected to gain momentum as the release date comes closer.

Hyderabad is also catching up fast as there are 6-7% shows promising healthy occupancies.
Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad
These 4 major cities are also not performing as of now but are expected to show some gains faster.
Though it’s a bit early to expect good bookings from SMZS at this point, last week release Love Aaj Kal had much better trends on the same day. If not similar, SMZS was expected to get at least a reasonable initial response.
