Shaitaan continues to mint moolah at ticket windows, and it’s quite impressive that the film is performing much better than all other new releases like Yodha and Bastar: The Naxal Story. This indicates that this film is here to stay till two big Eid releases take away maximum screen space from it. Now, let’s take a look at how the performance was on day 13, i.e., second Wednesday!
When it comes to serious and content-oriented roles, things continue to work in favor of Ajay Devgn. Drishyam 2 was in a similar zone, and it did wonders at the Indian box office. Now, his latest release has joined the list. Other than Ajay, R Madhavan is equally responsible for attracting crowds to theatres. The impressive performance of Janki Bodiwala also left an impact.

Coming to the collection update, as compared to Tuesday’s 3 crores (estimates), Shaitaan has shown a good hold by raking in 2.60-2.85 crores on day 13. This shows that the film will again see a good rise over the third weekend, and that will take it a step closer to the mark of 150 crores. As of now, the total stands at 114.79-115.04 crores at the Indian box office.

Shaitaan is already a theatrical success and has performed better than expected. If it manages to hit the mark of 150 crores, it will be a big achievement. For Ajay Devgn, this success has come at the right time as he’s gearing up for his big release, Maidaan. The much-awaited magnum opus releases on Eid in a clash with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
The halo effect of Shaitaan might help Maidaan build momentum and put itself in a position where it can start off well at the Indian box office in front of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
