Shaitaan At The Worldwide Box Office (After 29 Days): Ajay Devgn & R Madhavan’s Film Beats Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man!

Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan’s Shaitaan has turned out to be a big winner for Bollywood in 2024. It will be completing one month in theatres tomorrow, which is really a commendable thing for a film belonging to the genre of horror thriller. Talking about the latest collection update, the film has surpassed the lifetime collection of Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man. Keep reading to know more!

Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film was released on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri. It opened to mixed reviews from critics, while the audience’s word-of-mouth was majorly inclined towards the positive side. In the post-pandemic era, we have seen several well-made remakes tanking badly at the box office, but Ajay Devgn has been lucky enough to score a second victory with his remakes. Before this horror thriller, Ajay’s Drishyam 2 was also a huge success.

Coming back to the collection update, after a run of 29 days, Shaitaan has amassed 144.79 crores net at the Indian box office. Including taxes, the gross amount stands at 170.85 crores. In the overseas market, the film earned 34 crores gross, which is a decent result. Combining both Indian and overseas gross, the collection at the worldwide box office stands at 204.85 crores gross.

With 204.85 crores gross, Shaitaan has surpassed the worldwide lifetime collection of Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man (203.05 crores gross). Before wrapping up the run, the film will also surpass Kesari (205.54 crores gross), Badrinath Ki Dulhania (206.95 crores gross), Gangubai Kathiawadi (208.17 crores gross) and Chhichhore (208.42 crores gross).

Meanwhile, the Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan starrer turned out to be the first hit of Bollywood in 2024. In India, it is aiming to reach near the 150 crore mark (net collection), while globally, it will reach up to 210 crores gross.
