Shahid Kapoor’s Grand Entry In Koimoi’s Power Index; Topples 6 Actors

Shahid Kapoor, who till now did not had an entrant in the 100 crore club has directly sailed smoothly into 200 crore club. Padmaavat has resulted in shuffling of his position in Koimoi’s power index list. Along with Ranveer Singh, he has also moved up on the list.

Shahid Kapoor now stands at the 10th position in the list and has crossed actors like John Abraham, Sushant Singh Rajput, Arjun Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Saif Ali Khan & Sidharth Malhotra.

Deducting 100 points from 100 crore section, Shahid Kapoor has earned 200 points under the 200 crore section. He now stands at the total of 200 points and is just below Ranbir Kapoor who is at 300 points.

After releasing on January 25, the period drama had marched past the Rs 100 crore figure in its opening weekend. The movie now stands at the grand total of 212.50 crores at the Indian box office.

Starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, the film is based on 16th-century poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi’s poem Padmaavat. It was caught in a row after protests from Shri Rajput Karni Sena which contended that it distorts historical facts and dents the pride of the Rajput community.
