Aamir Khan just upped the ante again. His musical drama production Secret Superstar may have stopped at earnings of 62 crores in India despite a festive Diwali release, but the film has just opened to a massive response in China, building on Khan’s reputation there.
We all have been a witness to the mayhem caused by Aamir Khan’s Dangal at the China box office. Secret Superstar, too, could just click with the audience over there as it too has an emotional value attached to it.
Secret Superstar, not even a week old at China box office, has already bested Aamir’s previous release Dangal‘s opening weekend score Dangal was also a super hit at China’s box office.
Before Secret Superstar it was Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which took the China box office by storm. Dangal became the highest grossing Indian film in China within weeks of its release in May 2017.

Secret Superstar has collected $ 46.15 million at the box office. The film now stands at the grand total of 293.18 crores. The Dangal fame Zaira Wasim received huge appreciation by the fans and critics. Though, it didn’t work well in India but it surely won everyone’s hearts out here.
Apart from Aamir Khan, Secret Superstar also features his Dangal onscreen daughter Zaira Wasim. The Advait Chandan-directed film is the story of a budding singer and how she breaks free of societal shackles to make a name for herself in the music industry.
After Aamir Khan, it will be Salman Khan’s turn to try its luck in China. His 2015 film Bajrangi Bhaijaan will open across 8,000 screens in China on March 2.
