And his 2017 film Secret Superstar has been living up to the hype it generated all over the world. After breaking records in China, the movie is making its mark on Hong Kong too.
The film is in its fourth week and it’s getting loved by the audiences in Hong Kong.
Secret Superstar collected HK $ 111,514 on Friday and HK $192,263 on Saturday at the Hong Kong Box Office. The film now stands at the total amount of HK $ 12,016,153 (HK $ 12 million) (10.23 crore). Well, it seems that Aamir’s quirkiness and Zaira’s lovely act have won the hearts there too. The film is currently being shown in 30 locations.

Aamir recently had said, “We are really happy that ‘Secret Superstar‘ has been so successful all around the world, so all credit goes to Advait (Chandan) for wonderful writing and direction that he has done.”
Talking about his growing popularity in the Oriental countries in an interview with South China Morning Post, the actor said, “I believe 3 Idiots was the first film that travelled – here in Hong Kong, Taiwan, China – and became very popular.They saw 3 Idiots, wanted to see my other films, and they went online to search for my other films.” he continues. “After that, there were Dhoom 3 and PK. All these films became popular online – before they were even released in theatres … I’m very happy that they like my work so much,” he said.
