Satyagraha Evicts Ghanchakkar From Koimoi’s Top 10 Highest Opening Weekend List

Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha picked up across all circuits on Saturday and Sunday, taking its opening weekend total to 39 crores at the Domestic Box Office.

The morning shows on Saturday witnessed a similar occupancy as Friday, but the film was running at around 80-85% for the night shows at big-city multiplexes. Business at single screens was pretty good too and the collections on Sunday picked up 20-30% compared to Saturday.

Satyagraha, has now entered Koimoi’s Top 10 Highest Opening Weekend List, what with directly grabbing the Top 5th position. With this, the Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan starrer Ghanchakkar has been evicted from the list. The movie had raked in 22.75 crores in its opening weekend and was standing at No. 10 position earlier!
