With 600 points for 6 x100 crore movies and 200 points for 1 x 200 core movie and 300 points for 1 x300 crore movie and 50 points for 1 overseas top 10 Salman Khan’s total tally is 1150 points at the Box Office Power Index.
While there is always a tough fight between the three Khans to reach the top, post Bajrangi Bhaijaan Salman has sealed his place at the top and Aamir Khan is trailing in the second position with 950 points. Shah Rukh Khan on the other hand is on the third position with 950 points. Thanks to the super success that PK received, Aamir benefit highly from it and his entry into the 300 crore club movie took him to the second position.
With Salman’s newest movie PRDP all set to hit the theaters over Diwali, the trade experts are hoping for some massive business. The film has got a huge release which is showing signs of a trade to reach 300 crore club and if it is added to the Overseas Top 10, the film will get 300 + 50 = 350 points to Salman’s Power Index. This will take his total Points to 1500 points making a gap of 550 points post PRDP.
Even if PRDP doesn’t hit 300 and settles for 200 and makes it to Overseas top 10 it will still add 250 points, taking Salman’s Points to 1400 points making gap of 450 points.
To score this gap of 450 points SRK or Aamir will have to have 400 crore + Overseas top 10 which is a mammoth task. With Sultan releasing next Eid, Salman’s score will leap further 100 or 200 or 300.
So if the math is right then Salman may have secured his position of Rank 1 in Koimoi Box Office Power Index for next year also.
