Salman Replaces SRK As No.1, Akshay Overtakes Ranbir: Koimoi Box Office Power Index

While the box office is a game of numbers that decides the fate of stars and their performances, the Koimoi Box Office Power Index is a tool that measures the success rate of these stars. With new releases in the first half of 2014, old records were broken and new records were set. Checkout which of your stars stands at what position in the Koimoi power index.

With the first half of 2014 giving us two major hits of Kick and Holiday, the collections of these films have affected the power index and with Salman Khan’s Kick giving him his first 200 Crore entrant and additional movie in Koimoi’s list of Top 10 Highest-Grossing Bollywood Films In Overseas, the actor is now on the Top position in the table with 900 points. Toppling down Shah Rukh Khan to the second position as Kick evicted SRK’s Om Shanti Om from Overseas Top 10, which reduced 50 points for SRK. Shah Rukh still has 5 movies in Overseas Top 10 List instead of earlier 6 movies and now stands at 2nd Position with 750 points.

Also with Akshay Kumar’s Holiday entering the 100 crore club, the star now has been placed at No 6 and pushes Ranbir Kapoor to the 7th Position in this chart.

The Power Index is expected to go through a great change as the upcoming big releases such as Ajay Devgn’s Singham Returns, Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang, Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year, Ranbir Kapoor’s Bombay Velvet and Aamir Khan’s PK hit the theaters.
