Though there isn’t much of a competition from past or present, last week’s release Rustom as well as this week’s Happy Bhag Jayegi are collecting low numbers.
Rustom had a fabulous Week One and that was followed by a good second weekend as well. During these 10 days, it has exhausted most of its potential audience and is now driving towards its eventual destination. With 4 crore* more during the two weekdays gone by, the overall collections have reached 112 crore*.

The collections of the Akshay Kumar starrer would go past his Holiday [112.65 crore] today and Housefull 2 [114 crore] by tomorrow. Post that, one can expect it to be the superstar’s third highest grosser ever after Rowdy Rathore [131 crore] and Airlift [127.8 crore]. Superhit!

Happy Bhag Jayegi has seen 3.25 crore more coming in between Monday and Tuesday. Given the merits of this Eros and Aanand L. Rai entertainer, it definitely deserved better. The film’s collections so far [13.96 crore] could well have been accumulated over the weekend, and that would have put it in a much better position. This is one of those films that would find quite some audience on satellite over a period of new few months.
As for Mohenjo Daro, which is currently around the 56 crore* mark, one now looks forward to its television journey, considering the fact that the theatrical business is now almost coming to a close.
