Roy Opens To A Decent Occupancy On Day 1 At The Box Office

Roy starring Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles has started off on a decent note on its opening day. For the morning shows, the film recorded a decent occupancy of 45-50% at the multiplexes. Considering it is a normal week day, the occupancy is quite good.

The film’s music has become quite popular and that is a plus point for the film. Also since Ranbir Kapoor is seen in a film after a year, there has been quite buzz for Roy. With Valentine’s Day just a day away, the romantic thriller has released on an opportune moment and thus couples will be flocking theaters to watch Roy which has already managed to swoon a lot of people with its romantic tracks.

But the film seems to be a more urban centric drama meant for a multiplex audience, so the single screens may not record good figures. An opening of over 6-8 crores is expected for this film.
