Rock On 2 Goes Further Down In Week One At The Box Office

Rock On 2 has joined the ranks of one of the biggest disappointments of 2016. With just 10.5 crore* in its kitty, the Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor starrer has joined other disasters like:

Fitoor – 19 crore
Great Grand Masti – 14 crore
Mirzya – 11 crore

In fact it would have to be seen if Rock On 2 manages to cross the lifetime run of Great Grand Masti.

The film wasn’t carrying great hype en route release but still, such kind of fate was definitely not expected out of it. The content was a total mishmash of affairs and that further ensured that chances of any turnaround were diluted by Friday evening itself. Post that it has just been a formality for the film to complete its days in theaters and now with Force 2 and Tum Bin 2 hitting the screens, it is totally out of contention.

One now waits to see which is the next film that Farhan Akhtar picks on as an actor. As for Shraddha Kapoor, she would well be moving on to Half Girlfriend which brings her into the zone where masses love her.
