Now this one is going to be one interesting clash for sure. Two iron-men, one ‘videsi’ and another ‘desi’, are all set to take on each other this month at the box office. With both actors known for their action image, Hollywood’s Robert Downey Jr and Bollywood’s own Deol Jr. i.e. Sunny Deol, would be fighting it out as Iron Man 3 clashes with I Love New Year on 26th April.
“This one is going to be as exciting as it gets since it would be the coming together of two real ‘mard’ in the arena. While Robert has made a place for himself internationally as a superhero, courtesy the ‘Iron man’ series, Sunny is an original ‘desi’ hero ever since he won over the world with his ‘dhai kilo ka haath'”, comments an observer.
Ironically though, despite the two being ever ready to get their fists and kicks talking, only one would be getting into a characteristic (and expected) mode this season.
“Yes”, an expert adds, “‘Iron Man 3’ carries forward the action legacy that has helped Robert’s rise in Hollywood. He would be doing what is required to be done by a superhero in an action-sci-fi-thriller genre. However Sunny is playing a different game this time around. For a change, he is leaving his ‘dhai kilo ka haath’ aside and instead getting all lovey-dovey and mushy. ‘I Love New Year’ is a romcom and Sunny would be seen in a wooing mode like never before. Leave aside a fight, one wonders whether there would be even a slap involved.”
While one awaits how the drama unfolds for Sunny Deol and Kangana Ranaut in I Love New Year, UTV Motion Pictures, which is distributing Iron Man 3 in India, is going full steam ahead with its plans for giving the film a major release. Incidentally, in India the film would open a week before its release in the US and arrive in IMAX 3D, 3D as well as the 2D version. Also, it would be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
Will Sunny go all ballistic and create nothing less than ‘gadar’ to take on this challenge? Well, it would be quite interesting no less, considering the fact that he is going all romantic for his musical affair.
