The Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan starrer Rascals made Rs. 7.50 – 8 crore (all-India net collections) at the box-office on the opening day (Thursday, October 6). The first day’s collections of Rascals are good considering the dull opening it had received in the Thursday morning shows, primarily due to the Dussehra festivities.
The other two releases of the week, Love Breakups Zindagi & Soundtrack, both of which released on Friday, opened to dull houses. However, Love Breakups Zindagi received a fair opening at select few theaters in the cities.

The third Hindi release of the week, 9 Eleven, opened to very poor houses. At certain places, shows of the film had to be cancelled due to paucity of audience.
