Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt recently wrapped up the first shooting schedule of Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji, in Bulgaria.
After a prolonged schedule, the team has now taken a break for a month, as the lead actors of the film wanted time for the promotions of their upcoming releases – Sanju and Raazi.

In the meanwhile, Ayan Mukerji will spend time at Prime Focus on the technical aspect of the film, wherein a lot of visual effects will be added to the scenes shot at Bulgaria.

A source close to the development revealed, “Brahmastra is the most ambitious project for Dharma Production till date. It is the costliest film to be produced by the production house, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it a visual spectacle for the audience. The budget allocated to the film production is approximately Rs 250 crore, which includes the actor, director and technician’s fees. On the visual effects front, the team is currently analyzing various aspects, which includes conversion of the film in 3D.”
“The film has been planned on an unimaginable scale, and when you watch the film, you would be blown away by the grandeur and detailing in terms of sets, visual effects and costumes. Every frame of the film will justify the amount spent. The team at Dharma is extremely confident about the content, in-fact, Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji have already discussed as to how would the story move forward in the second and third part of the franchise,” added the source.

The source further revealed that the second-long schedule of the film will begin after the release of Sanju, and even Amitabh Bachchan will be a part of the same. Brahmastra is an action adventure set in the fantasy land and will see Ranbir Kapoor have some super-powers to fight against the evil. According to media reports, the actor has the power to emit fire from his hand.
