The most talked about musical drama Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela is all set to release with grandeur this November. The film’s promo and trailer which were unveiled recently, was set to enjoy a solo release in the coming festive season, however now Kangana Ranaut starrer Rajjo is too releasing on the same date.
With so much effort put in to make the director of Rajjo, Vishwas Patil says, “I was waiting for an apt time to bring the film. Even though the main character – Kangana (or Rajjo) plays a Mujra wali in the film, it isn’t somber or depressing by any means.”

The release date of a film is a matter of importance and thought about at stretch. 15th November was decided as the release date for Rajjo, after a lot of brain storming. Rajjo would incidentally be arriving just 12 days after the release of Krrish 3 (3rd November) in which Kangana would be seen in a glitzy role.

About the film Kangana seem confident, she says “Rajjo is really close to my heart and I am glad it is being released this festive season. As for competition with other films, there would be one every week in any case. I am sure my producers are taking a good call and it comes from the trust and confidence they have in the product. I am particularly proud of the film and my work. The film is special and it will fetch an audience of it’s own. I strongly believe in director Vishwas Patil and music director Uttam Singh. Once you see the promos, which would be out very soon, you would know what I mean.”
However, one can easily gather from the film’s trailer that there is little content it has to flaunt. Though Kangana’s look as nautch girl is promising, the film’s trailer shows little in terms of story or execution. With slides of the trailer, its dialogues and set up resembling films from the earlier part of 90s, technical expertise has educated the audiences deeply and few will be interested in watching a film like Rajjo.
Ram Leela on the other hand enthuses a fine work, in terms of the plot-line it portrays, its lead actors’ chemistry or the grandeur and direction of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Undeniably, there is a sprinkle of Bhansali magic working in the film’s favor along with the much awaited pair up of rumored real life couple, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone – is keeping the buzz for the film high! The actress has been having a super-successful year with all three of her films namely Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Chennai Express emerging as the highest box office achievers this year!
There is no way Rajjo has any scope of competing with the magnanimous stature of Ramleela. It will be a fight of the insignificant versus the mighty! However, it takes great strength to have the confidence to face a film of Ram-Leela’s magnitude at the box office. Giving Rajjo its due, perhaps the film has slight chances of catching the fancy of single screen audiences, but mostly there is no way that Rajjo will even affect Ramleela at the box office! The release date has just concertized the fact that the film will face a big wipe out at the box office.
