Queen Does Well In Its 1st Week At The Box Office

Queen has come up trumps at the box office, and how. Starting at a low note on Friday morning, gaining momentum by the evening and just about edging out Gulaab Gang over the weekend, the Vikas Bahl directed film did something unprecedented over rest of the week. On each of the weekdays, it had collections better than Friday which has never happened in last 10-15 years, ever since the multiplex culture came up in the country.

As a result, the film scored about 18.30 crores in its first week, which is fantastic, considering the kind of start that it took.

In fact, the word of mouth of the film is supremely fantastic which means the film should score week in the second week as well. This is the reason why it is currently futile to suggest whether the film would end its run around 30 crore or go even further since a lot would also depend on how Bewakoofiyaan is received by the audience.

For now though, it is Kangana’s time to celebrate. As a central protagonist, she has come up trumps and is enjoying a new found respect for her in the industry.
