Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has now reached the 143crore mark in its first five days. After a long four day weekend and a holiday season, the film stepped into the working days. The film collected around 13-14 crore on Monday (final numbers awaited), and as a result, the total so far stands around 143 crore.

When compared to the terrific opening day that the Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya film had enjoyed, the Monday collections have seen a drop in certain big sectors. However, the film has a good hold in Mumbai, Delhi, Central circuit, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Also, it is on the power of interiors and smaller centers that the collections have still held up reasonably enough to allow more than 10 crore coming in. Now one waits to see how the film continues over the weekdays, which would decide its eventual outcome.

Such is the huge benchmark that Salman Khan has set for itself that one expects a Blockbuster with every release of his. Still, from commercials perspective, the film is a clear Hit in the making. In fact there are good chances that it would be the second highest biggie of the year after Bajrangi Bhaijaan in a matter of just six days as today, it should cross the lifetime collections of Tanu Weds Manu Returns (152 crore).

The film also has an advantage of yet another open week ahead for itself as no new Hindi film is slated for release till Tamasha (27th November).
