As expected, all of today’s releases – Aazaan, My Friend Pinto, Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge, Jo Dooba So Paar and Mod – opened to poor houses especially as the dull pre-Diwali period has set in.
Traditionally, the days leading to Diwali witness the lowest ever collections in the year. This is the main reason why no big-budget and big star cast films are released for two weeks before Diwali. The opening of all the releases of today ranged from zero percent to 25 percent. Yes, zero percent because shows of some of the new films in some of the cinemas in different parts of the country had to be cancelled this morning owing to absence of audience.
All eyes are now set on Ra.One, the biggest Diwali release this year.
