Padmaavat Box Office: Remains Rock Solid Even After Two Weeks

Padmaavat enjoyed a rock solid second week at the Box Office and now its overall collections stand at 235.50 crore*. These are tremendous numbers for the film which has stood its ground for 15 days now and is still enjoying audience patronage.

Yet another record has been surpassed by the film, that of the lifetime total of Kick [233 crore] which is now history. The next real challenge is lifetime number of Dhoom 3 [280.25 crore] and to score that the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed film needs 50 crore more to be added to its repertoire.

It could well have done that had it been flying solo but the arrival of Padman means there would be a break in momentum. While a lifetime target of approx. 270 crore is still a good possibility, anything over and above that would be truly remarkable for the historical drama.

The film is a major success at the Box Office from commercial standpoint but if one looks at it from the credibility and popularity perspective, it is a Blockbuster no less. Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor have a lot to relish and cherish, and the film’s success would be remembered for a really long time to come.
