Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat has done it. In just 10 days flat (with some help from the Paid Preview shows), the film has crossed the lifetime number of Bajirao Mastani [184 crore]. The film’s collections already stand at 192.50 crore and the footfalls are still coming in strong.

This is apparent from the fact that second Saturday collections stood at 16 crore and now at least 18 crore are on cards today as well, hence making it a bountiful outing for this historical that is creating and breaking records on a daily basis.

Padmaavat Box Office: Gears Up To Enter 200 Crore Club Today; Surpasses Bajirao Mastani

The film would be hitting its next big milestone today, that of entering the 200 Crore Club. This is indeed an elite category since Padmaavat would be just the 15th film to reach that landmark. That said, during the times when the Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer was going through all the troubles prior to release, it would have gladly taken 200 crore as a lifetime number too. However, things are far brighter today as 200 crore is set to be achieved in a jiffy and it’s the journey past the 250 crore milestone that would be much keenly observed.

Padmaavat marks the hat-trick of successes for the golden team of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as they are continuing to score since the days of Ram Leela. One can’t recollect any other director-actor-actress combination to be enjoying such big successes on a back to back note in the recent times. This is what makes it all the more interesting to check out what does the trio put together next as it would be something special for sure.
