This R Balki directed film took a decent start at the box office on its first day as it had collected 10.26 crores.
Now, Pad Man has entered its 2nd week and there’s no stopping to this amazing flick. The film collected 2.10 crores on its Friday which takes its total to 64.97 crores. With such trend, the film will eye to cross the 70 crore mark by the end of this week. The film has got good reviews from the critics which is helping the film to grow. The positive word of mouth from the audience is contributing more to the numbers as well as its awareness.
In the past too, we have seen Akshay’s Toilet: EK Prem Katha which was a huge success and the good word of mouth helped that film to grow big at the box office. With Pad Man and its subject, there’s a limitation as people won’t find it comfortable to watch it with their family. But all the myths are broken with this film! If the content is great, people will definitely go and watch the film no matter what.

But now, with Aiyaary, Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz and Black Panther’s release, Pad Man might slow down at the box office. Controlled budget and overseas collection are also couple of pluses for the movie! But if Pad Man crosses the 100 crore mark, it will be a great achievement for the makers. For entering the 100 crore club, the movie now needs a great hold over the weekdays and a considerable jump today.
Directed by R Balki and produced by Twinkle Khanna & KriArj Entertainnment, Pad Man is inspired from Tamil Nadu based social activist, Arunachalam Muruganantham who invented low-cost sanitary napkin machine for women.
