Speaking about the numbers, this Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor starrer film collected 3.25 crores on its 2nd Saturday. Now, Pad Man stands at the total collection of 68.22 crores* at the box office. The film is racing towards the 70 crore mark and it might touchdown to it soon by Monday. The film is running smooth and steady at the box office. The positive word of mouth has added an extra fuel to it.

This week, the collections might slow down as other releases like Aiyaary and Black Panther have been released in the theatres. But because of Aiyaary’s slow start and mixed reviews, it might help Pad Man to buck up and earn well at the box office.

Speaking about Pad Man, the film has been made tax-free in Rajasthan. The Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje announced the same yesterday. Raje said that she wants maximum number of women to see this film so that the message about the use of sanitary napkins can be spread. She also said that sanitary pads machine will be installed in schools and colleges in the rural areas of state.

You do something very unfair to women and humanity if you do such things. It is not only about this movie. It is the story of this man’s life, and what issue it is addressing.”
