The Telugu release – Ooru Peru Bhairavakona – performed well in its first three days at the box office. After appearing in Captain Miller, Sundeep Kishan makes a comeback in the Telugu industry with this movie. To know more about the box office collections of this film during its first weekend, keep reading.

The movie was released on February 16th and earned a total of 8.98 crore in India net at the Box Office. The producers of Ooru Peru Bhairavakona had arranged a few paid previews on Wednesday (February 14th), from which they collected 0.4 crore. Unfortunately, the previews didn’t help much due to minimal word of mouth.

The film’s release on Friday was not as impactful as expected, which resulted in a missing surge that could have boosted the important opening day sales. However, over the course of the weekend, the film’s domestic revenue did see a slight increase as it was the only option available for the Telugu audience. Despite its moderate revenue, the film managed to register a decent performance in the domestic market.

Over the weekend, the VI Anand movie had a box office collection of 2.6 crore on Friday and a slight pick up on Saturday with 2.9 crore earnings. Ooru Peru Bhairavakona collected 3.08 crore on Sunday, bringing its total collection to 8.98 crore, as reported by trade portal Sacknilk.

Ooru Peru Bhairavakona performed well in the overseas

Although the film did not perform exceptionally well at the domestic box office, surprisingly, it managed to make a good profit in the international market. In the USA, the mystical thriller worked its magic and earned over 2 crore over the weekend. This is the highest number that Sundeep Kishan has ever achieved in his career in the USA, which provides some solace to the talented actor who has been in desperate need of success. The genre and theme of the movie have worked in its favour in the USA. The movie’s worldwide total stands at 12.59 crore.

Eagle drops on 2nd weekend

Ravi Teja’s action film Eagle has been performing at the box office for two weeks now. In its first week, the movie made a total business of 21.65 crore. However, the movie’s collections have been dropping since it entered its second week.

On the 8th day of its release (2nd Friday), the film collected only 0.32 crore. The earnings slightly increased on Day 9 (2nd Saturday) with 0.37 crore, followed by 0.44 crore on Day 10 (2nd Sunday). As of now, the film stands at a total of 22.77 crore at the box office.

Yatra 2 has almost ended its run at the box office

This movie, Yatra 2, featuring Mammootty and Jiiva, had a disappointing run at the box office with very few theatre screenings. The film’s net India total is approximately 6 crores. Adding its overseas gross total, the movie’s worldwide collections stand at around 8 crore.

Meanwhile, Ooru Peru Bhairavakona has already surpassed Yatra 2’s worldwide lifetime collections within just three days of its release. It remains to be seen whether Ooru Peru Bhairavakona can surpass Eagle’s record or not.
