When Varun Dhawan modified his shade to strip off the superstar image last time, he did Badlapur. That movie surely also had Nawazuddin Siddiqui and a touch of commercial elements. Badlapur earned 7 crores on its day one back in 2015.

Varun Dhawan’s highest opener till now is Dilwale that earned 21 crores on its day one. But Dilwale was a multi-starrer having the presence of mighty Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Last year, Varun Dhawan did the magic and gave Judwaa 2 a bumper opening of 16.10 crores.

His ABCD 2 also performed superbly at the box office as it earned 14.30 crores on its first day. Varun Dhawan’s lowest opener, till now, was Main Tera Hero with 6.50 crores but now October has placed itself on the bottom of that list.
