It would be wrong to say that Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra are born lucky. Besides the luck factor, they also put in a lot of effort into their films. Their latest film, Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge, which is also a plus proposition (like many of their previous films). MFK has been made on a budget of approximately Rs. 8 crore, which includes the cost of making, promoting & releasing the film. But, they got Rs. 5 crore on the satellite rights alone!

Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge: Economics
The makers of Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge are definitely going to make money. Besides the Rs. 5 crore earned from the sale of satellite rights, they must have made about Rs. 2 crore from the sale of music rights alone. This means that they have almost recovered the entire cost of the film from the satellite and music rights. The surplus of whatever comes from Indian and overseas theatrical will be a profit for the makers.
Mujhse Fraandship Karoge it is expected to do a business of at least Rs. 3 crore in India. In the second week too, audiences have only this film to look forward to as there are no big releases and all the other films are doing badly at the box-office. Hence, just like MFK has done well in its first week, it should do reasonably well in its second week too, in spite of pre-Diwali dull phase.
