Join UsThe upcoming weekend will be an interesting one for the audiences as they’ll get the chance to enjoy entertainment of their taste. Emraan Hashmi starrer Mr. X being a complete mass entertainer and a commercial film with various quintessential Bollywood elements and Margarita With A Straw of Kalki Koechlin being a niche film which is now very much accepted by Indian audience; the clash of these two diametrically opposite films will see a healthy competition at the Box Office.
So, will Emraan Hashmi take the lead or will Kalki Koechlin’s acting do the magic? Here is what the trade experts have to say on the upcoming releases:

Mr. X will open very well and rule at the Box Office. Margarita With A Straw will have to depend on word of mouth. Looks like happy days are back for the industry.

Talking numbers obviously Mr.X will dominate for multiple reasons.
1) It has a much wider release (approximately in 2200 to 2400 screens) than Margarita With A Straw. The latter will be a very limited niche release with about 500 screens is what I am assuming, and only the national multiplex chains would release it and it’s a sensible thing to do.
2) Mr. X is a mainstream commercial film, Margarita With A Straw on the other hand is a film that caters to entirely different audience. We could say this film is for intellectual cinema loving audience and a bunch of critics.
3) Mr. X has got a star who has the capacity to get the audience to cinema halls. With the later, it is not one of those films that is expected to be a money spinner unlike typical mainstream commercial film. I am really glad that both these films are releasing together because, this will provide every kind of audience for entertainment at the cinemas. So it’s a good scenario and I kind of expect both the films to do well in their own space and objective.
