Emraan Hashmi starrer Mr. X performed extremely poor on its second weekend. The film was already holding up average in the week days and the second weekend too could not pick up much. The film collected 2.04 crores on its second weekend, thus taking its total to 24.79 crores at the domestic box office.

The film was badly affected due to the competition it received from the new Hollywood release, Avengers : Age Of Ultron. Also since, the North and the North-East regions suffered from a massive earthquake, thus multiplexes in Delhi, Kolkata were shut down, thus pulling out business for the film. This Vikram Bhatt film is currently the ninth highest grosser of the year.
