Akshay Kumar & Vidya Balan’s Mission Mangal is a riot at the box office with numbers surpassing all expectations! The movie has completed its first extended weekend and already is close to the 100 crore mark. Talking about today’s morning occupancy, here’s how the movie is fairing across the country.
Mission Mangal has raked in whopping collections of 97.56 crores, after a terrific Sunday that added 27.54 crores in its kitty. Now, the morning occupancy of its Day 5 is witnessing around 15-18% bookings at the ticket windows, which is a minimal drop compared to Friday’s. Also the footfall is expected to rise in the evening shows, mending up for the morning numbers.
The movie is also facing a decent competition from John Abraham’s I-Day release, Batla House, which is hitting the chords just right and attracting its target audience.
Mission Mangal has opened to good numbers at the box-office, and the film’s debutant director Jagan Shakti is garnering praise. The filmmaker says the skill and professionalism of his multistar-case, headed by superstar Akshay Kumar, is the reason he never felt stress on the set.

“When Akshay Kumar is on board for a mission — especially for a big project as this — there is no room for stress. There is only hard work and happiness because he has such a great sense of humour and commerce to make a film work. In fact, every actor of the project gave their full commitment so I had no worries while handling such a big star cast,” Jagan told IANS.
“Since the story emerged from a conviction, as a film director I only focused on delivering the best. The cast did not treat me as a newcomer and I also worked like a regular filmmaker,” he added.
