Mission Mangal Box Office Day 5: Does Well On Monday, Crosses 100 Crores

Mission Mangal did well on Monday as 8.91 crores came in. If one compares this with Friday collections of 17.28 crores, this is a good hold as the fall is less than 50%. The film enjoyed a terrific Saturday and Sunday when collections went past the 20 crores mark on both the days and hence there was always a chance that there would be a drop on Monday.

Of course had the numbers stayed in double digits on Monday as well then the film could well have been headed for a blockbuster status. For now it would need to be seen how the collections sustain today and tomorrow. If numbers stay over the 8 crores mark today as well then it would ensure weekday collections of around 30 crores which would be quite good.

The film has collected 106.47 crores already and the first week billing would turn out to be in 125-130 crores range. With this, the Akshay Kumar would have gone past the lifetime numbers of majority of his successful films and the next milestone would be Kesari, which would be surpassed by the close of second weekend.
