Mission Mangal has taken a splendid start at the box office and it could be said that it is the best of the year. While the expectations were pinned high on this Akshay Kumar’s space drama, it has surpassed them all by a huge margin and that too despite a clash with John Abraham’s Batla House.
All reported Mission Mangal took a flying start of 55-60% in the morning shows, which is really an amazing feat given its non-massy genre. It has opened on the same lines of Salman’s Bharat but will collect low figures as it saw division of screens due to Batla House’s presence.

Let’s go through the highest morning occupancies of the year:
Bharat
Salman Khan’s Bharat opened on a record-breaking note on Eid and fetched an occupancy of 55-60% in the morning shows, which is best for 2019.
Kabir Singh
Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh emerged as a huge surprise at the ticket windows. Riding high on the chartbuster music and intriguing trailer, the movie scored an occupancy of 50-55% in the morning shows.
