Mere Brother Ki Dulhan collected Rs. 25.75 crore (all-India net collections) on its first weekend at the box-office. The Katrina Kaif-Imran Khan starrer was off to a flying start on Friday (September 9). It made Rs. 7.50 crore on the opening day. The collections picked up by a good 20% on Saturday taking that day’s final tally to Rs. 8.75 crore. On Sunday, the film managed another Rs. 9.50 crore at the box-office, taking its first weekend’s total collections to Rs. 25.75 crore.
The movie had cost Rs. 30-32 crore (for production and promotion). Its satellite rights will fetch minimum Rs. 12 to 15 crore and the music rights another Rs. 4-5 crore. Considering these factors, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is set to make comfortable profits for its makers.
