Mary Kom managed to show a good jump on its third day. After having a decent opening day, Saturday too was good but Sunday recorded better business as the film picked up for the evening and late evening shows. The film’s total collections of the first weekend 30.6 crores at the domestic box office. Starring Priyanka Chopra as the lead, the film being a biopic had a genre that is not exactly a crowd puller.

Yet, Mary Kom remained strong in the circuits of Mumbai, UP and Delhi- NCR. The best business for the film was at multiplexes, single screens remained to be a little lower. Being hailed as the woman centric drama, after becoming tax free in the mass circuits of Maharashtra, U.P, M.P it was expected that the film would pull off a good business. Not being a commercial potboiler with the regular dance and romance the film could not create a huge impact but the weekend jump was certainly good.
