Kalki Koechlin starrer Margarita With A Straw managed to remain steady over the first weekend. After a 50 lakh opening, the film picked up a bit on Day 2 and Day 3. With 72 lacs business on Saturday and 90 lacs business on Sunday, the film raked in 2.12 crores over the opening weekend at the domestic box office.

Since the film’s storyline was a little niche, Margarita With A Straw could not be a crowd puller. This film has been highly urban-centric and hence it performed best in the cities such as Mumbai, Pune etc. The film deals with the tale of a young girl suffering from Cerebral Palsy and is about her journey to discover herself.
